PM Gruevski meets Moscow Region Governor
Macedonia and the Russian Federation, including the Moscow Region, foster excellent relations, it was concluded Monday in Moscow at a meeting between Premier Nikola Gruevski and the Governor of the Moscow Region, Sergey Shoygu.
PM Gruevski informed his interlocutor about the economic objective of the visit to Russia and the meetings with Russian companies that are potential investors in Macedonia, the government said in a press release. He put an emphasis on Macedonia's benefits offered to potential investors, the low tax package, positive macroeconomic indicators, the access to a qualified workforce and a market of 700 million consumers provided through deals on liberalized trade with all European states.
On his part, Governor Shoygu said he was satisfied to have a chance to meet the government delegation. He expressed readiness to enable conditions for trade and investments by Macedonian companies interested to cover the Moscow Region - an area with population of over seven million inhabitants.
"Shoygu voiced preparedness to make efforts in an attempt to boost trade exchange and economic cooperation between the countries," stated the press release.
Moreover, Macedonia and the Moscow Region signed an agreement on trade, industrial, scientific, cultural and educational cooperation.
