Macedonia, Russia sign agreement on mutual recognition of diplomas

Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski and Russian Deputy-Minister of Education and Science Inna Bilenkina signed Tuesday an agreement for recognition of documents over acquired education and academic titles.

The agreement harmonizes the norms for recognition of diplomas obtained in countries' schools and universities, thus establishing the basis for enhancement of mutual cooperation.

The agreement's signing is part of the activities by the Macedonian Government team, led by PM Nikola Gruevski, during a visit to the Russian Federation.

The Macedonian delegation will present investment opportunities for doing business in Macedonia at Tuesday's business forum in Vladimir.

Moreover, the Government team, also including Economy Minister Valon Saraqini and Minister for Foreign Investments Bill Pavleski, will hold a meeting with Vladimir Region Governor Nikolai Vinogradov.
