The former President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovachevski, handed over the Prime Minister Office to the newly elected President of the Government, Talat Xhaferi.

Kovachevski offered welcome to the President of the Government, Xhaferi, followed by a brief tete-a-tete meeting and statements for the media.

During the meeting the former Prime Minister, Kovachevski, offered congratulations on the new office to the newly elected Prime Minister Xhaferi and wished him a successful discharge of his mandate and efficient work in the interest of all citizens and the Republic of North Macedonia.

The President of the Government, Xhaferi, expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with the Government so far, and underlined that he approaches the position of Prime Minister with particular responsibility, ready for all challenges brought by the executive power.

Both Kovachevski and Xhaferi emphasized the importance of the organization and implementation of peaceful, fair and democratic elections, and efficient implementation of the defined Government policies in accordance with the Programme for work of the transitional Government in line with the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of the Republic of North Macedonia.
