Fatmir Limani
Fatmir Limani is a prominent politician and history professor. He was born on 14 January 1973. Limani is Albanian by nationality.
He completed his higher education at the Faculty of Philosophy within the State University in Tetovo, where in 2004 he obtained the title history professor.
His professional career started in the private sector and in the period between 2005 and 2007 he worked as a manager of a private company in the area of oil derivatives trade. Between 2007 and 2010 he was president of the civil organization “NDRISHE” where he actively worked on improvement of the civil rights and social justice.
From 2007 until 2011 Limani was a member of the Supervisory Board of the JSC “MEPSO”. Between 2011 and 2021 he worked as a deputy general manager and member of the Supervisory Board of JSC ESM where he gave enormous contribution to the development of the energy sector.
In 2021 Limani started a candidacy as an independent candidate for mayor of the municipality of Kichevo, and as of 2022 he is the Vice-President of the political movement BESA.
In 2024 Limani was elected member of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia.
Fatmir Limani in addition to Albanian is fluent in English and German.
