The President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi, today met the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to our country, H.E. Gregor Pesker.

During the discussion they focused on the bilateral relations between North Macedonia and Slovenia and the opportunities for their enhancement, while emphasizing the economic cooperation. During the meeting they discussed the European perspective of our country, as well as the state of play in the wider region of WB.

The interlocutors underlined that both countries have excellent bilateral relations featuring constant mutual support and respect.

Prime Minister Xhaferi welcomes the support that Slovenia provides to the European perspective of North Macedonia while extending appreciation for the sharing of experiences of this process.

Apart from the successful political and economic cooperation between the two countries, the interlocutors also exchanged views on cooperation in the field of defence, internal affairs, culture, science, and education.

Ambassador Presker emphasized that North Macedonia, together with other countries in the region, is a geographical priority for Slovenia and Slovenia's active and vocal support for the European integration of North Macedonia will continue.
