Poposki-Hoxhaj: Countries from the region to be part of the united Europe

Commitment and openness towards the EU integration, strengthening good neighbourly relations, intensifying economic cooperation, promoting the region as economically promising with large opportunities for investments and tourist potential, were some of the topics discussed Monday by Macedonian and Kosovo Foreign Ministers Nikola Poposki and Enver Hoxhaj respectively.

They pointed out that there are no open issues between the two countries. Their message is that they wish all countries from the region to be part of the united Europe.

Macedonia is very important political, economic and strategic partner to Kosovo. Macedonia is one of the first countries that recognize us under the constitutional name, we have signed many agreements and protocols as well as realized many meetings at all levels, Hoxhaj underlined.

Our countries are small and that’s why we should maximally support and help each other. Not only that we share common historical and cultural background, but we also share common goal – Euro-Atlantic integration, Hoxhaj said.

Assessing the talks with his Kosovo colleague as significantly productive, Poposki pointed out that several initiatives mainly in the sphere of infrastructure, energy and road connection have been already opened.

President Gjorge Ivanov will receive Kosovo FM Hoxhaj Monday afternoon.
