I met today Mr. Koen Marquering, Head of the UNODC Secretariat of the Regional-Anti-Corruption and Illicit Finance Roadmap, and Valentina Ancevska, UNODC Liaison Officer in North Macedonia. 

We discussed mutual priorities and ongoing collaboration between the Government of North Macedonia and UNODC, with a particular focus on money laundering, illicit financial flows and asset recovery as well as broader anti-corruption efforts.  

UNODC as the guardian of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, is an important partner of the Government of North Macedonia. Going forward, it was agreed to focus collaboration on priorities related to strengthening institutional capacity for asset recovery and concrete anti-corruption initiatives.
