Macedonia among least indebted countries in Europe, says PM Gruevski

Magazine "The Economist", the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have all confirmed that Macedonia is among the least indebted countries in Europe, said Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on Tuesday.

"According to 'The Economist', Macedonia has a public debt of about 26 percent, one of the lowest in Europe. I have said on many occasions that the country has the third or fourth lowest debt in Europe. All international financial institutions have confirmed that Macedonia is among the least indebted countries in the world (26 percent of the GDP), compared to the 39 percent when we came in power", said PM Gruevski after putting into use new sports hall in Kumanovo high school "Kiro Burnaz".
