Government adopts report on realized activities under Macedonia-EU high-level accession dialogue
The Government adopted Friday a report on realized, priority activities, stemming from the second meeting of Macedonia-EU high-level accession dialogue (HLAD), being held on May 7.
The report notifies progress in the areas of freedom of expression and media, electoral reform, rule of law-improving of dialogue between communities, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.
Progress has been made in the sphere of freedom of expression and media in terms of decriminalisation of libel and drafting a law on civic accountability, which has been submitted to the Council of Europe for evaluation.
The groups for amending the electoral legislation and revision of the voters' list have been working according to set schedule, being in the advanced stage of realization.
In regard to the rule of law-improving of the dialogue among the communities, the Secretariat for implementing the Ohrid Framework Agreement drafted a report on the progress in applying the document's policies.
The report on the status of realizing the road-map priority activities has been submitted today to the European Commission, the press release reads.
