Arifi: High-level accession dialogue- opportunity for stimulation of civil society

Prior achievements within Macedonia's high-level accession dialogue and what can the civil society offer as recommendations is the goal of Thursday's thematic workshop "Dialogue on Accession Dialogue", organized by the European Policy Institute (EPI).

Vice Premier for European Affairs, Teuta Arifi, presented previous achievements, saying the high-level accession dialogue is an inclusive process, which needs to involve not only the civil society sector but the society as a whole, in order to be functional.

"I am convinced that the high-level dialogue represents a big opportunity for us, taking into consideration it can stimulate not only the administration, but also the Parliament and the civil society", said Arifi.

EPI director Malinka Ristevska-Jordanova said that the dialogue has already obtained positive signals from the public, in time when there are no negotiations, whereas the second stage of the Stabilization and Association Agreement has been blocked.

"Our goal is to contribute towards turning the process on ourselves, i.e. for the dialogue to contribute to our internal dialogue, among Macedonian stakeholders", added Ristevska-Jordanova.

The workshop brings together Government officials involved in the realization of the roadmap, civil society, experts etc.
