Promotion of 14 new books from "Translation of 1,000 Books" project
Fourteen new books from the project aimed at translating 1,000 scientific books and textbooks that are used at top universities in the United States and Great Britain were promoted Sunday in Skopje.
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski at the promotion said the project was carried out with an accelerated dynamic enabling translated books to be launched every two weeks.
"Today, the 40th promotion of books translated within the project is being held. 14 new books in the field of mathematical sciences, philosophy, philology, diplomacy, politics, tourism, law and homeland security are launched. Thus far, 683 books have been promoted," Gruevski said.
It is important, he added, that these books by some of the most esteemed scholars and scientists in the world, their knowledge and researches are available in Macedonian language and for everyone in Macedonia.
Minister of Education and Science Pance Kralev, who accompanied the PM, stated that current results of the project had exceeded the expectations and visions of the ministry. "Some of the books that have been translated are included in university curriculums allowing students and professors to have an insight into contemporary scientific discussions."
