Automated multi-storey car park to be built in Skopje downtown
The construction of an automated multi-storey car park was launched Tuesday in Skopje downtown, in the attendance of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski.
The 280-car capacity facility, funded by the Public Enterprise for Management of Residential and Commercial Properties (JPSSDP) with EUR 5.8 million, is located in the proximity of Skopje's central square.
"This is an area with many administrative buildings, both of private and state institutions. Therefore, the necessity for such a facility is obvious", said Prime Minister Gruevski.
JPSSDP Director Cvetko Grozdanov said that although small in volume, the car park's functionality was enormous.
"The entrance in the elevators that distribute the vehicles is located in the basement, wherefrom they are automatically placed in the car park", added Grozdanov.
GMS Project Skopje is the building planner, whereas construction company "Granit" is the contractor.
