PM Gruevski: Government realizes over 380, more than 470 projects are ongoing
More than 380 completed and 470 ongoing projects are the result of the Government's efforts and engagement in the last year, namely from 28 July 2011 to 20 July 2012, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said in his address regarding the first anniversary of his Cabinet.
"Even in this period of prolonged global economic and European debt crisis, which have had an effect on domestic developments, we have managed to secure stability and remain less scared compared to other countries. Taxes have not been increased, while salaries, pensions, social welfare or agriculture subsidies have not been cut. We did not allow the Denar's devaluation or distortion of the country's financial system", PM Gruevski said.
The World Bank, he said, ranked Macedonia as the third best reformer and 22nd top destination for doing business. Last year, the country registered the seventh best GDP growth in Europe and one of the lowest GDP-debt ratio at 26,8 percent.
Referring to the projects, Gruevski listed the ones in the sectors of economy, judiciary, foreign policy, administration, agriculture, education, culture, sports...
Responding a journalist question, the PM said his favorite projects were those related to procurement of medical equipment, construction, overhauling of hospitals, schools, farmer subventions and "naturally the inflow of foreign investments, which should open many new jobs."
