Labor inspectors with new business cards

Labor inspectors henceforth while performing an inspection will identify themselves with new business cards. New documents are printed on hard paper with light blue color in double binding black leather.

The first cards were awarded today to six inspectors by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Spiro Ristovski.

- The Labor Inspector, while performing an inspection, is authorized at any time of day and night to enter the premises of the employer without previous announcement, regardless of the working hours. He is liable to inform the authorized person of the employer for its presence, to present the ID that would prove his identity and authority, said Ristovski.

During the first six months of the year, labor inspectors carried out a total of 23,690 controls of which 17,095 in the ​​employment area and 6,595 in the area of safety and health at work.

During this period a total of 494 undocumented workers were caught and 193 decisions in which employers are obliged to register and pay the employees three average salaries were adopted.

According to Minister Ristovski, the number of undocumented workers in comparison with past years is reduced, and the number of citizens reporting unregistered workers has increased.

37 work restrictions are imposed regarding the area of safety and health at work and 2,243 decisions for specified deficiencies were passed. During this period five deaths occurred, and there were no collective injuries during work.
