FZOM (Health Insurance Fund of Macedonia) will have an official assignment to procure documents needed by citizens

Departments of the Health Insurance Fund of Macedonia will have an official assignment to procure any documents a person applying for a certain service is missing.

The documents will be collected within three days, except when, in accordance with the law, the deadline for a certain case is 15, 30, or 60 days.

“We’re talking about applying at the first window where the citizen will be able to procure their service, and the institution will be officially assigned to provide them with the necessary documents. The service will be charged in one place, on one window”, stated the Minister for Information Society and Administration, Ivo Ivanovski, who today, along with the head of FZOM, Maja Parnadzieva-Zmejkovska, promoted the campaign titled “No more walking from window to window”.

“This measurement”, added Ivanovski, “will save a lot of the citizen’s time and reduce the crowds at the windows.”

Director Parnadzieva-Zmejkovska noted that the Fund will retain the official assignment to procure a birth certificate and documents from the Ministry of Labor and Social Politics for certain specific categories of insured citizens.

Parnadzieva-Zmejkovska announced that an electronic system will be introduced in the following period aimed at delivering citizen’s demands to the Fund.

According to the changes in the Law on General Administrative Procedures put into effect last year, the institutions are officially assigned to procure all documents.

The Health Insurance Fund is one of the three institutions in the state that offer the largest number of services and have the biggest number of annual visitors.
