2.000 New hospital mattresses for Macedonian clinics supplied after 20 years
The Ministry of Health provided the Macedonian clinics with 2.000 new hospital mattresses worth 12 million denars. The mattresses will be distributed to the “Mother Teresa” clinics in Skopje, as well as most clinic and general hospitals in Macedonia.
“The supply will cover almost all usable beds in the clinics. It will set a new standard that I believe, will be maintained in the future. The mattresses are made of polyurethane foam, they are antibacterial, waterproof and easy to wash. At the same time, they are flexible and adaptable to the body of the patient”, stated the department Minister Nikola Todorov today, after the shipment was delivered.
The mattresses in the clinics in Macedonia have not been replaced for over 20 years. As Mr. Todorov said, there was a larger supply in the period 1991-1992, but some of the mattresses are much older, except for the ones donated by socially responsible companies and individuals.
