PM Gruevski meets Macedonian immigrants in Toronto
Mutual interests for boosting cooperation at all levels between the Macedonian Immigration Organisation in Canada and businessmen in the country were pointed out at Tuesday’s meeting in Toronto between the Macedonian government delegation, led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, and the Macedonian immigrants.
Numerous opportunities that Macedonia offers for development of business relations which will enable exchange of potentials, goods and services were presented before Macedonian businessmen, Government’s press office said.
Macedonian immigrants introduced Mr. Gruevski with the development of the immigration organisation in Toronto and Canada, which is constantly in contact with the Macedonian embassy and is informed on current developments in the country.
Mr. Gruevski expressed satisfaction from the shown interests of the immigrants for development and intensifying of the contacts and realization of the investment projects.
The Macedonian Immigration Organisation organised a dinner in honour of the Macedonian government delegation in Toronto, which was focused on stressing that the Macedonian diaspora in Canada, USA, and Australia, was and will be important in lobbying aimed at resolving certain challenges for the country which are of an essential importance for its further development. In this direction, Mr. Gruevski pointed out his commitment in the promotion of national and state interests and establishment and boosting the relations of cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and countries where Macedonian immigrants live, reads the press release.
