Exhibition of modern Macedonian jewelry in Brussels
The Ministry of Culture opened on Wednesday evening a temporary exhibit of modern Macedonian jewelry in the premises of Macedonia's Mission to the European Union in Brussels.
The exhibition is envisaged by the Ministry's strategy for development of creative industries and was organized in cooperation with the Public Room Organization in Skopje.
"In March, a workshop was held for designing jewelry, which is displayed at the Macedonian Mission to the EU. The designs have been so far exhibited in Skopje, Belgrade and Zagreb. The Ministry of Culture recognized the potential of making larger series of jewelry, which could be easily promoted in Macedonia and abroad," said Aleksandar Velinovski, producer and curator of the show.
The displayed items include jewelry made up of plexiglas and aluminium. "Huge interest has been shown in the jewelry made by Macedonian designers," stated Velinovski.
