PM Gruevski: Realisation of EUR 22 million from EIB's loan for companies starts

Twenty-two million euros from the credit line of 100 million provided by the Government through the European Investment Bank (EIB) are available to companies in Macedonia as of Nov. 8. These funds are expected to create 480 new jobs.

"An EUR 100 million credit line has been secured through EIB. Of those funds, 22 million are expected to be transferred on Thursday and allocated to 101 companies in Macedonia," Prime Minister stated on Wednesday answering a journalist question.

According to the Finance Ministry's estimations, the funds should create nearly 480 jobs.

"This line of credit is being realised. The Government is prepared to provide a new one with subsidized rate of 5.5% as soon as it completes the ongoing credit line since Macedonian companies face difficulties to secure credits as a result of the European debt crisis," PM Gruevski stated.
