South Stream includes Macedonia, says PM

Macedonia is part of 'South Stream' project and we are working on an agreement with the Russian Federation, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told reporters on Saturday.

"Macedonia is part of the first stage of the 'South Stream' project. It did not feature initially, but following talks with the Russian authorities and Gazprom, the country was inserted as a branch in the pipeline", stressed Gruevski.

He said the Russian side has sent a draft-agreement, which has been reviewed, with the remarks already forwarded.

"If Macedonia was not involved, the Russian Federation would not send the draft-agreement", underlined PM Gruevski at the launch of works for overhaul of Corridor 10 railroad sections in Kumanovo.
