Macedonia to get Children's Eye Center under Ukraine's support
Macedonia will get a Children's Ophthalmology Center, which is to be part of the Children's Clinic in Skopje.
It will start working after a team of Macedonian doctors complete their training in Ukraine, Health Minister Nikola Todorov said Saturday after meeting Prof. Sergey Rykov, Director of the Eye Microsurgery Center in Kiev.
Macedonia's cooperation with Ukraine is a long-term one and it will advance the quality of health services in our country, Todorov said.
Opening of such center is rather important, as it will advance the diagnostics and care for children with vision problems, Rykov said. Records say that about 70.000 children in Macedonia have some eye problem.
