Minister Ivanovski presents Open Government Partnership initiative, opens e-store in Ohrid
Minister of Information Society and Administration Ivo Ivanovski presented Monday the government's initiative for Open Government Partnership at Ohrid-based "St. Paul The Apostle" Faculty for Information Science and Technology.
Speaking to students, Ivanovski said the initiative included Ministry's activities aimed at boosting the transparency of institutions and enabling easy access to public data of the institutions.
The Minister urged the students to use the transparency platform and the information they would obtain as a foundation to promote and design new applications for websites, PCs and smart phones.
As part of his working visit to Ohrid, Minister Ivanovski also attended the opening of Macedonian Handicrafts - one of the 50 e-stores subsidized by the government.
"This unique e-store offers traditional Macedonian products, where all potential clients having access to the digital world will be able to buy various hand-made products, such as icons, national clothes, the world-famous Ohrid pearl, etc..., Ivanovski said adding that he hoped the store would stimulate artisans to continue their work.
