Agreement on funding of hydro plant project
Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski, director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Sector for Power and Energy Utilities, Nandita Parshad, and Macedonian Power Plants (ELEM) director Vlatko Cingoski will sign Thursday agreements on guaranteeing and funding of project Boskov Most hydro-power plant.
The power plant is set to be built on Mala Reka, close to town Debar and regional road Skopje-Debar-Struga. The construction, worth EUR 80 million, foresees full energy use of Mala Reka hydro-potential.
A 44,4m-tall dam and reservoir, main derivation tunnel, pipeline and operating building are to be constructed.
Hydro-power plant "Boskov Most" should be operational in four year, with installed power of 68,2 MW and average annual output of 117,54 GWh.
Construction works are expected to begin by the year-end or the onset of 2012.
