Construction of City Aqua Park launched

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and sports center "Boris Trajkovski" director Ratko Kapusevski launched Sunday the construction of the City Aqua Park within the center.

The Government-funded project, worth EUR 4,2 million, is to be completed by the beginning of summer.

The facility is to include 10 waterslides, children's pool, wave pool, lazy river, administrative building including a restaurant, bar, toilets, dressing rooms and first aid station.

Turkish company Polin is the aqua park contractor, along with Macedonia's Zikol and Elektrounion.

"We are building and will continue to build. A unique facility for entertainment and relaxation will be built at this spot in several months. The aqua park will be a true attraction for Skopje citizens, but also for all domestic and foreign tourists", said PM Gruevski in the address.

Director Kapusevski added the aqua park would be Skopje's summer attraction, representing a direct input to development of tourism and the Karpos municipality's economy, opening 35 jobs.
