12 new books within project for translation of 1,000 textbooks promoted

Twelve new books in the field of medicine, entrepreneurship, law, homeland security, which are part of the project for translation of thousand textbooks used at top universities worldwide, were promoted Wednesday in Skopje.

So far, 762 books have been translated, published and distributed to libraries and faculties across the country.

Speaking at the promotion, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said it was expected the large-scale project to be completed by year's end.

"These books are an advantage contributing to improving the Macedonian society. The goal is to awake the creative spirit of young people, to encourage them to think outside the box and to fight for a better life by using their capacities, skills and ideas to the maximum," PM Gruevski stressed.

Education and Science Minister Pance Kralev said that the translated textbooks offered opportunities for upgrading one's talent, knowledge and skills.
