Government increases subsidies for Buy a House, Buy a Flat project
The government has improved the conditions involving the project "Buy a House, Buy a Flat" after raising its subsidy from 50 to 75 per cent for construction of a new house. These new changes allow the subsidy to be increased up to 15.000 euros, whose aim is to additionally stimulate the sale of houses.
The changes, which are related to loans approved for houses, have been recently adopted by the government, Deputy PM and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski said Thursday.
"In line with the new changes, in the model '50-50 shared instalment' the government will subsidy 75% instead of 50% of the monthly annuity. As a result, the subsidy for a loan for constructing or buying a new house worth 50.000 euros will be 15.030 euros, thus there will be an installment of 330 euros of which 247 euros will be covered by the government and the rest by the beneficiary," Stavreski said.
Under the new changes, the second model '50% participation' also envisages the support to be raised up to 75%.
"We believe that these changes will serve as an incentive in order the funds envisaged by the project for building a house to be used more," the FinMin stated adding the changes had been introduced following numerous suggestions from the citizens.
130 subsidized housing loans were approved since the project "Buy a House, Buy a Flat" was launched in January 2012.
