Ukrainian businessmen express interest to invest in Macedonia
A governmental delegation, led by Vice-Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski, promoted opportunities for doing business in Macedonia to businessmen in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance said Thursday in a press release.
Ukrainian businessmen expressed greatest interest for investing in Macedonia's tourism, agricultural, energy sectors, machinery industry, mining and construction.
Today, the Macedonian delegation, which also includes Bill Pavleski, the Minister without portfolio responsible for attracting foreign investments, and CEO of Technological Industrial Development Zones (TIDZs) Viktor Mizo, held talks with Dnepropetrovsk Gubernator and his economic team, discussing possibilities for bolstering the economic cooperation. The Ukrainian officials expressed interest in signing a memo of cooperation between the national Agency for Investments and Macedonia's Directorate for TIDZs. Teh visiting delegation also invited Dnepropetrovsk businessmen to visit Macedonia.
Yesterday, the delegation presented the opportunities for investing in Macedonia to a great number of businessmen in Kiev. Stavreski also had a meeting with the Ukrainian Deputy Economy Minister, the press release reads.
Tomorrow, Stavreski is to present the opportunities for investing in Macedonia to businessmen in Donetsk. He is also scheduled to meet the Donetsk Gubernator and his economic team.
