Janakieski: Legalisation of over 100.000 illegal buildings by year-end
Minister of Transport and Communications expects legalisation of over 100.000 illegal buildings and houses by year-end. Janakieski accompanied by Skopje Mayor Koce Trajanovski and Mayor of Centar municipality Vladimir Todorovic Saturday presented opportunities for construction of settlements Madzir Maalo, Novo Maalo and Krnjevo in Skopje.
We have enhanced tempo of legalisation of illegally built facilities in the past two months, especially after inspectors on the terrain pointed out to municipalities to resolve the problems in determined deadline according to the Law on Legalisation. The changes that entered into force on Dec. 2012 provided enhanced legalisation and I expect that over 100.000 illegal buildings are to be legalised this year, Janakieski said.
Recently adopted General Urban Plan of the City of Skopje will speed up the process of legalisation in all municipalities in Skopje. It will also be an opportunity for development of Krnjevo and Madzir Maalo, as it was one of the main demands of the citizens of this area.
Trajanovski said by approval of the General Urban Plan of the City of Skopje and construction of underground traffic artery, the long-year problem for urbanisation of settlements Madzir Maalo, Novo Maalo and Krnjevo in Skopje will be resolved.
