President Gjorge Ivanov held talks Monday with the Ministers of Education, Science and Economy, Pance Kralev and Valon Saraqini respectively.

The Ministers briefed Ivanov about the preparation of projects in the spheres of innovation, entrepreneurship, renewable energy resources and development of 'Technology Parks', which enjoy the President's support.

The talks underlined the need of harmonizing the national legal frame with the EU standards for facilitating the access to the Union's funds supporting innovation, the President's Cabinet said in a press release. The interlocutors also shared opinions on possibilities for advancing the criteria for obtaining international scholarships.

Ivanov hailed the initiatives for stimulating the educational, professional potential, saying that skillful, highly trained personnel, capable for applicable scientific researches, is vital for economic growth and overall progress of the country.

In this respect Ivanov mentioned the Best Young Scientist award, established by the President in 2010 to motivate young people to give their scientific contribution to Macedonia's overall prosperity.
