In recent times, the Government has fulfilled its short-term goals outlined in the Work Program, stemming from our pledges made during the election campaign with which we won the trust of the people, PM Nikola Gruevski said Thursday in his video address marking 100 days since forming the Government.

Ensuring economic growth and developing and advancing the citizens' standard remains a top priority in the future, the PM vowed.

"The Government remains utterly committed to realising the top priority, our strategic goal - ensuring economic growth and development, improving the citizens' standard and attracting fresh investments. It requires a lot of hard work and measures, a lot of reforms and measures to be taken by all of the factors. We are aware of this and at the same time we are aware of the challenges - we welcome them and address them enthusiastically in a bid to resolve them. By having a strong faith and by working hard, we will manage to further improve the processes within this crucial sphere for each and everyone of us, for the citizens and for the Republic of Macedonia," Gruevski said.

In his address, he focused on the series of measures having great significance for Macedonia's economy and citizens. He pointed out the annulling of profit tax for firms making a revenue up to 3 million denars, cutting down tourist service rate, providing funds for small and medium enterprises through an EIB credit line of 50 million euros... Speaking about finalised projects, Gruevski mentioned the modernisation of country's two airports in Skopje and Ohrid, capital's public transportation, road infrastructure as well as the agreement fixing a minimum wage. "Measures are also being taken to modernize education and health-care, to support culture and tourism and to reform the public administration," he added.

Referring to foreign investments, Gruevski said that in recent months a mini investment boom had occurred in Macedonia - with more than 100 million euros being realised - as soon as the country exited the economic crisis.

Macedonia's successful economic policy and reforms are recognised by the World Bank by ranking it as the third most improved economy in the world in its Doing Business report, according to him.

Referring to Macedonia's EU integration process, Premier Gruevski said the country for three years running had been receiving a positive report from the European Commission as well as a recommendation for start of membership talks with the EU, which "comes as a result of our dedicated efforts."

"Our actions and accomplishments are based on the program which is public and transparent, estimable and evident. All of the pledges within the program have been fulfilled. Achievements and actions have been made without being included in the program, but were completed as a result of our attempts to address challenges in order to overcome them. Our accomplishments are an outcome of our commitment, responsible approach, hard work and cooperation with target groups from the overall spectrum of our society. Our actions are established by strategic goals and thorough principles of the Government's policy and by the national and state interest and by citizens' support to certain positions in a bid to meet their needs and interests," Gruevski said in his address.

He added that the Government in the future would resume its committed work to improve all spheres of the society, to implement reforms and to provide conditions for development and progress.

"We'll are resuming our activities having established partnership ties with the people through openness and cooperation. Trust must be justified. In the coming period, we will be implementing the rest of the measures in order to improve economy and boost living standards, to modernize education and health-care, to support agriculture - to keep on building a strong, modern and successful Macedonia.
