Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski sent Thursday Europe Day greetings to European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, saying it marks European unity, peace and well-being of citizens.

"On this significant day we remind ourselves on the European values based on unification and mutual respect of diversities and solidarity as motif in mutual relations. Republic of Macedonia eagerly awaits its accession in the European family, contributing to the development of this grand idea", says PM Gruevski.

According to him, Macedonia appreciates prior support on the road to full European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

"I especially value your interest in monitoring the development of mu country and the remarks over its swift progress. I hope achieved progress and results in the implementation of reforms will serve as main arguments in the decision over the launch of EU accession talks this June", says Gruevski.
