Macedonia's investment opportunities presented in Tatarstan

Macedonia offers excellent conditions to potential investors, such as one of the lowest taxes in Europe and benefits offered in the technological and industrial zones, whereas agriculture, information technologies, automotive industry and tourism are the sectors in which favourable cooperation could be established.

This message was conveyed by the Government’s business team, led by Deputy PM and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski, at a business forum held in the Russian Republic of Tatarstan.

Tatarstan's economy is one of the strongest and its industry is one of the most developed in the Russian Federation. The delegation, which includes the minister for attracting foreign investments Vele Samak and the director of the Directorate for Technological and Industrial Zones, Viktor Mizo, visited the technological and development zone in Kazan to present Macedonia's investment opportunities at a business forum.

"Tatarstan has one of the most dynamic and modern economies in the Russian Federation. Its emerging economy increasingly resembles the Macedonian economy. Therefore I expect our cooperation to be enhanced both in trade and investments," Stavreski stated.

The Deputy PM has met with the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov to discuss the economic collaboration and ways for enhancing the trade cooperation.

As part of a road show, the delegation will present the Macedonian investment opportunities in Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and its visit will be wrapped up at an international economic forum in St. Petersburg.
