"Taking into consideration that these countries have over 10 million citizens, we hope the EU and the European Commission will seriously consider our initiative, putting pressure on operators and making appropriate changes in regulations, thus enabling our citizens to take advantage of the same prices as those in the EU", added Ivanovski.
Serbian Minister Ljajic said the joint letter was an example of good regional cooperation and a message that all problems could be solved through mutual communication and cooperation.
"I hope the time of conflicts and unnecessary rhetoric is behind us. This is the only way to create a favorable environment for foreign investments, since we are small markets when seen individually. This can be a good signal for future investors in our countries", added Ljajic.
"We want to send messages to the EU since our intention is our citizens to have the same benefits as the citizens in the Union member-states. We want to demonstrate that we can reach an agreement and find solutions in the citizens' interest on numerous issues without any outside pressure", said Lazovic.
