New kindergarten opened in Skopje’s Gazi Baba municipality
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, Labour Minister Dime Spasov, mayor of Skopje municipality Koce Trajanovski and mayor of Gazi Baba municipality Toni Trajkovski attended the opening ceremony of new kindergarten in Nova Kolonija settlement, Gazi Baba municipality, which is the first built in the past 25 years.
Gruevski informed that the Government together with Gazi Baba municipality invested Denar 28 million for the kindergarten which will provide care to 80 children from the surrounding populated places.
Gruevski addressing the present guests firstly congratulated the Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle Day – October 23 emphasising that the holiday is a symbol of a dark but proud generation of Macedonia who lived in a very difficult time, time in which Macedonia had no freedom; people lived in slavery and in great poverty.
Today we have own state, freedom and democracy, peace and security but as many other European countries we are facing with unstoppable fall of birthrate and reduced number of newborn babies. The number of newborn babies in Macedonia in the past 50 years is reduced by twice which is concerning data, Gruevski said.
That’s why the Government conducts politics aimed at stimulating the parents to have more children and to expand their families, he said.
He said that funds were allocated for adaptation, expansion and renovation of additional 15 kindergartens in rural areas for this year.
Labour Minister Spasov said that the kindergarten will operate in 3 heterogeneous group including children ages of 6 adding that the ministry is continuing the initiate projects intended for improvement of the status of the children in our country.
