Slovenia's President vows to lobby for Macedonia's Euro-Atlantic integration
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski during his day-long visit to Slovenia met with the country's president Borut Pahor to discuss the excellent cordial relations between Macedonia and Slovenia.
The interlocutors at their meeting concluded that there were no outstanding issues between the countries introducing an additional quality to the bilateral ties, which could be used particularly in the field of economic and cultural cooperation.
Joint commitment to improving the countries' economic cooperation by increasing international trade and investments in several areas was expressed.
PM Gruevski informed the Slovenian President about the reforms and efforts made by Macedonia in connection to EU and NATO integration - the country's strategic objective.
President Pahor expressed staunch support for the Macedonian integration process vowing to personally engage in lobbying concerning the matter.
It was concluded at the meeting that the excellent bilateral ties could be used to improve the cooperation in the field of tourism, sports and agriculture.
PM Gruevski on Wednesday also met with the President of Slovenia's National Assembly Janko Veber thus wrapping up his official visit to Slovenia.
At the meeting, Veber said Slovenia remained an open supporter of Macedonia's EU and NATO integration bid. He welcomed the progress made in Macedonia urging the countries' close cooperation to result in bolstered economic cooperation.
