Citizens present ideas to Government

Projects in a number of areas, primarily in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, were part of the ideas that citizens presented before the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers on Saturday.

Over 250 citizens took part in traditional event "Day of Ideas", held for the seventh consecutive year in the Government.

Spokesman Aleksandar Gjorgjiev said this year's event was marked by projects in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, taking into account a fund for innovation and technological development is to be launched at the onset of 2014.

"There is interest for all sectors and all ministers, with certain citizens wanting to talk to several ministers, since more ideas will result in more projects and measures beneficial for citizens", said Gjorgjiev.

According to him, the ideas are useful for the Government's activities, which wants to use the best ones and turn them into specific measures and activities.

"Series of projects have been implemented from the citizens' ideas of prior events, such as the purchase of yards for EUR 1 per m2, lowering of taxes for import of used cars, the law on quality standards in the operations of the public administration and state bodies, reconstruction of schools, construction of halls, procurement of medical equipment", added Spokesman Gjorgjiev.
