Age limit lowered for adult students under Project 35/45
Women aged 30 and 35-year old men and over will have a chance to enroll at universities under the Project 35/45 starting from the next academic year.
The decision was reached by the government after analyzes have shown that this age group is interested in completing education.
"The objective is this opportunity, under the same circumstances as before, to be offered to as many people as possible who want to complete their higher education after being prevented from doing so in the past due to various reasons," Education Minister Spiro Ristovski told Saturday's press conference.
He urged interested candidates to pick vocational programs in order to meet the demands of the labor market in Macedonia.
Employed candidates with four-year high school education and jobless persons registered in the Employment Agency for at least five year are eligible to be enrolled.
The Project 35/45, providing higher education programs for adults, is being implemented for four years. A total of 1.200 people are studying under the project as 50% of the offered study programs are used.
