PM Gruevski: New law to settle all outstanding bankruptcy proceedings

We have fulfilled our promise and drafted a special law that should settle the outstanding bankruptcy proceedings – the most complicated ones from 1986 to 2011, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told reporters on Saturday.

This law is one of the most significant, as it will put an end to the long suffering of a great number of employees of a total of 320 companies, he said.

Gruevski said the new law was expected to close these proceedings by the end of 2014 at latest.

"It has been drafted under the Danish model. The Parliament adopted the bill yesterday, and in the next few days it will be published in the Official Gazette", the PM said.

Today, Gruevski put into operation the overhauled road section Tetovo-Jaznice.

The Government remains fully committed to construction and overhauling of roads throughout the country, Gruevski said at the ceremony.  The Government has earmarked over EUR one billion for infrastructure projects by 2018, Gruevski said.
