PM Gruevski meets IMF Executive Director Snel

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski met Monday with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Director Menno Snel, tackling a number of topics in the economic field and reform processes crucial for the country's macroeconomic stability and economic progress.

Gruevski briefed Snel over reforms and measures undertaken towards stimulating investments, trade exchange and stable economic development. Moreover, the PM informed the IMF official over the favorable tax package aimed at attracting investments.

Gruevski thanked IMF for its cooperation, as well as the possibility for Macedonia to obtain favorable credit lines in development projects.

IMF director Snel welcomed the country's reforms, saying their realization put Macedonia among the most ambitious states in the region.

He assessed that Macedonia has a stable tax policy and macroeconomic stability, whereas having a clear vision, ambition and stability is what investors want and acknowledge.

Gruevski and Snell expressed readiness for continuation of the cooperation and experience exchange, which would contribute to full implementation of reforms and economic development.
