Kocani is fertile ground for foreign investments, says Samak
Foreign investors have found fertile ground in Kocani, said the minister without portfolio responsible for attracting foreign investments, Vele Samak after visiting the location where a Dutch company is building a flower nursery in Kocani.
"The Dutch company 'Anthura' is building a nursery for orchids intended for export. The Euro 6-million investments will open 300 jobs. 'Anthura' and the US company 'Amphenol', which will manufacture electronic equipment, are the current two foreign investments in this town," Samak said on Saturday.
In Kocani he met with the mayor Ratko Dimitrovski. "The investment by 'Anthura' comes as a result of the presentation of Kocani's potentials held in 2011 in Utrecht, which was organized by the Macedonian embassy and the Municipality of Kocani," the mayor stated.
Anthura's plant will be completed in mid-2014 with the nursery planned to be put into operation by the end of the year.
