New Government e-session concept introduced
Through a new multiplatform system, materials for government sessions will be processed more quickly and in a more efficient manner thus boosting transparency and lowering costs, Deputy PM for economic affairs Vladimir Pesevski and Minister of Information Society and Administration Ivo Ivanovski announced on Sunday.
The system offers a fresh concept for Government e-sessions and should be functional on all operating systems and on various devices, including smart phones, tablets, personal computers, laptops... The design was developed by the Macedonian company "Nextsense" and needs to be implemented within a period of six months.
The multiplatform collaboration system technically and technologically is state-of-the-art, according to Deputy PM Pesevski.
"It will be no longer necessary every member of the Government to have only a computer. All those authorized will be able with any device, such as a tablet, computer or phone to have all the materials of a government session," said Pesevski.
Minister Ivanovski stated that the biggest challenge occurring while file versioning would be overcome taking into consideration the procedures that need to be completed before an information was reviewed at a government session given that it was subjected to changes.
"The institutions will be more efficient, changes to texts will be immediately visible, file versioning will be automatic since there will be no option to deactivate it," the Minister said.
This kind of system doesn't exist in the region and beyond, according to Ivanovski.
"There are designs which are more complicated and are not multiplatform i.e. they are intended only for the needs of their users or work on one or two operating systems," he noted.
