Gruevski: Diaspora to join the process of attracting foreign investments
The development of economy and unemployment reduction through attracting foreign investments which will mean opening new jobs is the main government’s challenge where active participation of the Macedonian diaspora has significant role, said Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski in Düsseldorf where he met with Macedonian immigrants.
Very important for us is our citizens, Macedonians and other ethnic communities living in Macedonia to find jobs and those who are already employed to be given an opportunity for higher salaries, Gruevski said adding that the government is economically orientated, in a friendly mood towards the business and certainly government which pays attention to state and national interests.
The government’s goal is to enable investment development, economy growth and development of trade through concrete projects, new roads, development of energetics and investment in education which is lasting value and investment in youth which also means better living standards for the citizens, he said.
He also pointed out that the government besides all challenges remains firmly committed to economic progress.
At the meeting Gruevski pointed out that the government fulfils the promises and shows that it can remain close to its immigrants through a sincere relationship.
We are the first government that paid very high attention to our people who emigrated from Macedonia and established closer communication with them. Among things and steps that we have made is the opportunity for all those who emigrated from Macedonia to be able to cast their votes in diplomatic consular offices of Macedonia which was not possible previously, he said.
He called Macedonian immigrants to actively join in promotion of potentials and advantages offered by Macedonia in the sphere of economy and investment development.
Gruevski accompanied by government's economic team will present investment opportunities before business community in Düsseldorf.
