Gruevski: Macedonia friendly country for investors

Macedonia offers the most competitive doing business conditions in the region. This has been perceived by a number of foreign companies already operating in Macedonia, while some have decided for a second investment, said Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski at Wednesday's business forum in Dusseldorf.

The business forum was attended by representatives of German companies from the automotive sector, infrastructure, telecommunications, tourism, banking and insurance.

"If you come, you will come across a Government that is friendly towards investors and business. We have a team that communicates with them on a daily basis", said Gruevski.

He referred to Macedonia's benefits, such as macroeconomic stability, favorable tax system, low doing business costs, export at European markets duty-free, as well as benefits offered by technological-industrial development zones.

Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski said Macedonia had an educated, skilled and loyal workforce.

PM Gruevski and the Government's economic team resume the Germany visit with a business forum in Stuttgart, organized in cooperation with The Financial Times.
