The Finance Ministry has paid MKD 599,6 million (EUR 9,72 million) to 18,248 farmers.

The subsidies cover the sectors of tobacco growing and sale, crops, gardening cultivations, milk, and insurance.

"The Government remains consistent in supporting agriculture as one of the leading pillars of Macedonian economy", the Finance Ministry said in a press release.
