Conference on Modern Marketing
Macedonia ranked 37th of the 65th countries in the e-friction in the world, i.e. no resistance in development of information society and ranked 27th in the internet infrastructure according to the index released by the Boston Consulting Group (BSG) at the conference in Davos.
This was said by Minister of Information Society and Administration Ivo Ivanovski at the second Conference on Modern Marketing in Macedonia taking place in Skopje and organised by the Chambers of Commerce and advertising agency Goclick and Google.
The digital economy is twice as higher in the 65 most successful countries as those with low-friction countries. The infrastructure is the fundamental driving force of the internet and that’s why we want to continue to invest in it, actively including the citizens in the new digital time, thus enabling small and medium-sized enterprises to be more active in advertising via internet, Ivanovski said.
He said that according to Boston Consulting Group, the digital economy in G20 countries was to reach US$4.2 trillion by 2016.
This shows that the future is in the internet and advertising via internet especially via social networks, Ivanovski said.
He said that 100% of the Macedonian companies used internet, and that the largest companies had websites for digital commerce.
Latest trends in advertising at global level are also discussed at today’s conference which includes companies from the ICT sector, adverting agencies, travel agencies and marketing sectors from companies.
President of the ICT Chamber of the Chambers of Commerce Sasa Ognenovski said that potentials of the internet marketing were limitless. The goal of the conference is companies to be introduced with possibilities that internet is offering in the sphere of advertising with a bigger accent on Google and Facebook, he said.
