Vice-Premier Pesevski meets managers of foreign companies, located in TIDZ Bunardzik
Some 100 domestic companies have been providing goods and services for foreign companies, located in the Technological-Industrial Development Zones (TIDZ) in Macedonia. Last year they delivered goods of EUR 50 million.
Vice-Premier for Economic Affairs Vladimir Pesevski and TIDZ Director Viktor Mizo held talks Saturday with managers of foreign companies, located in TIDZ Bunardzik – Skopje, about modalities for improving the quality of goods, provided by domestic companies, and bolstering of their cooperation with the foreign ones.
The meeting has notified that domestic companies may offer better goods and services if they acquire international certificates for their products, Pesevski said.
“The need for upgrading the educational process in the universities has been also notified. It should help domestic companies to acquire international certificates that will lead to improving the quality of their products they offer to the foreign companies. The foreign companies on their part should submit a list of required goods and services that may be provided in Macedonia,” Pesevski said.
Domestic companies, he said, must be aware that the future is in exporting, which means that they have to conquer foreign markets. Acquiring of international quality certificates is one of the prerequisites to that effect, Pesevski said.
It is good that foreign companies are present and create jobs in Macedonia, but domestic capital should also get room for growth and we will focus our efforts to that effect in the upcoming period, Pesevski said.
