The excellent relations between Macedonia and Lithuania have allowed the countries to learn more about their cultural values, Minister of Culture Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska and Lithuania's Vice Culture Minister Darius Mažintas said Friday at a meeting in Skopje.

The interlocutors discussed the ministries' cooperation, reaffirmed with the signing of a cooperation agreement in the field of culture. They also discussed the ways for enhancing the cooperation by exchanging artists, musical ensembles, including inter-institutional cooperation between the museums for contemporary art and national galleries, Macedonia's ministry said in a press release after the meeting.

Kanceska-Milevska informed Mažintas about some of the more important activities conducted by the ministry and the realization of capital investments and infrastructural facilities in the sphere of culture. Moreover, she invited her Lithuanian guest to visit Macedonia once again to attend the upcoming editions of Ohrid Summer Festival and Struga Poetry Evenings.
