Italian company Diatec to invest EUR 10 million in Macedonia
Diatec group, a leading international group producing coated media for the graphic, textile, packaging markets has announced its plans to establish a new production and logistics company in Macedonia.
The investment, worth EUR 10 million and located in technological-industrial zone Skopje 1, will open about 200 jobs, said Directorate for Technological-Industrial Development Zones CEO Viktor Mizo on Sunday.
The company's strategic goal is to cover the South-East European and the Mediterranean countries.
"We get another important, technologically advanced company in the Skopje zone", said Mizo, hoping that other Italian companies would follow suit.
Construction of the company facilities is expected in the second half of the year, with production to begin at the start of 2015.
The group consolidated turnover amounts to about EUR 200 million, employing about 800 people in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France and USA.
