Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski sent a note of congratulation to the citizens of Macedonia, on the occasion of May 24 - Saints Cyril and Methodius, Slavonic Enlighteners' Day.

SS. Cyril and Methodius, as founders of the Slavic literacy, are extremely important thinkers and enlighteners. By creating the Glagolitic alphabet and with their enlightening role on cultural and religious plan, they paved the way for the Slavic peoples to enter the history of civilization, among which is the Macedonian nation.

Celebrating this great holiday May 24 – let us remind on the greatness of the Macedonian and All-Slavic educators, their work and commitment to be our example and to cherish the values for they pledged and to help our country to develop by building the education as a key for better life of the citizens, reads the note by PM Gruevski.
