PM Gruevski meets US Navy Secretary Mabus

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and US Navy Secretary Ray Mabus expressed satisfaction Sunday in Skopje with the good bilateral relations and the excellent cooperation within NATO led-peace missions, which is an affirmation of the Macedonian-US Strategic Partnership.

At the meeting, Gruevski highlighted the Government's reforms towards the EU and NATO membership, which is Macedonia's strategic goal.

He also referred to the measures and investments of the Ministry of Defense in maintaining the professionalism of Macedonian peacekeepers serving in NATO-led missions, the Government said in a press release.

Macedonia is credible partner to peace missions, making special contribution to sharing the responsibilities with NATO allies, the PM said. Macedonia, he said, highly appreciates the US support of the reform process and meeting of the NATO standards.

Mabus praised the bilateral cooperation within NATO and Macedonia's substantial contribution to international peace missions.
